Building a serum routine
Most routines need one or two serums at most. A hydrating serum suits almost everyone. Add a targeted serum for your main concern, such as firmness or brightness.
Apply thinner textures first and let each layer absorb before the next.

Expert tip: serums
“Serums work best on clean, dry skin, from the thinnest texture to the thickest. Use one targeted serum for your main concern rather than layering several, and give it eight to twelve weeks before you judge the results.”
Hannah Clarke, Founder, HC Skin
Book a skin analysisObagi Serums: your questions
How many serums should I use?
One or two is usually enough. Using too many active serums at once can irritate the skin.
Do I need a serum if I already use a moisturiser?
A serum adds targeted ingredients a moisturiser cannot. If you only want one extra step, a hydrating serum under SPF is a good start.
Where do vitamin C serums fit?
They have their own vitamin C collection. Use them in the morning before your other serums.
